Studio Haven is a loft style creative space located in a well maintained heritage building in downtown Edmonton. With a large east facing window, exposed brick interiors and original wood floors this studio is great for hourly photographer rentals, videography or small events.

Rentals start at 55$ an hour for a weekday (Monday-Friday) and 65$ an hour for a weekend. Interior sets will be switched up every 2-3 months. Read further to find out more about its current set up/props.

• What furniture is currently set up in the Studio?

  • While our furniture set changes regularly, we currently have the following items available for use:

    • 1 Bed Set up with bed frame and mattress.

    • Multiple Blankets and Cushions that can be set up for floor seating.

    • 3 Pampas arrangements in various vases

    • 3 Side tables

    • 2 Floral Installations by Pampas Gal (https://pampasgal.com)

    • One Sherpa Bench

    • 5 Additional Chairs (Various styles)

    • Black styled bookshelf

    • Ornate Fireplace

• What is the lighting like at Studio Haven?

  • Studio Haven has one large East facing window. The studio itself gets direct sunlight in the AM hours. In the evening, some of the West sunlight is reflected back into the space as the studio is directly in front of the Stantec towers. There are translucent drapes over the window that diffuse the light, these can be adjusted as needed.

• Is there studio lighting and/or seamless backdrops available for use?

  • No, if you require any of these items please plan ahead!

• What furniture pieces are in the studio?

  • The studio set will be changed up every 3-4 months. Subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on instagram (@studiohaven.jpg) to stay up to date with the current furniture sets. Updates will also be posted here on this page.

• How large is the studio?

  • The studio is about 730 SQ F, however about half of the space is dedicated to the ‘front foyer’ area for guests to change and/or wait for their session.

• Is there a spot for clients to wait? What is the allocation like of the studio (with privacy)?

  • Yes. The studio is split up in to two different rooms. When you arrive, you will walk into the studio’s foyer. The foyer has a private washroom, changing area, and couch and/or waiting area. There is also a desk. The studio space can be cordoned off by using the drapes covering the entrance. This means that if you have multiple clients coming in you can give your current client privacy by shutting the drapes.

• Is there free parking?

  • Yes and no. For guests that visit us on weekends, there is free visitor parking in the back alley of the building (east). There are various paid options surrounding the building. When you book with us, you will receive a detailed email with instructions (and photos) of spaces to park nearby. Street parking is 1$ for an hour, whereas the impark lot behind the building is 3$ an hour.

• If we cancel our booking, do we get a refund?

  • Yes and no. If your booking is cancelled within more than 2 weeks notice and less than 30 days we can provide a credit. If your booking is cancelled further than 30 days in advance and you are unable to reschedule and/or a credit would not work for you we can provide a refund.
